Entry 14

1. I got a notepad from Michael's that lists the days of the week horizontally, with a space for a list under each day. I write down in pen my work schedule for each day; this changes every week but once the schedule is released it does not change. I cut sticky notes to a size that fits in the list and write down each homework assignment that I have due for the week. This way, I can move them around between the days if something comes up or I feel it would be better to complete it a different day. I feel calm using this approach because I feel like I have things under control and can get things done.

2. I would benefit from keeping a monthly calendar. I started out the year using a planner where I wrote down all of my known assignments for the semester, however I don't look at it much anymore after using my weekly method. I have tried using a smart phone in the past, but I just really prefer handwriting down my lists and things I have to do. I feel like it helps keep me on track more and it seems more realistic and hands-on. I also like the idea of a next-actions list because I could use that instead of the monthly calendar to keep up with bigger assignments that are due later.
